3 things v.0.01

welcome!

this week I've been

  • Reading -Innovative Assessment in Higher Education Cordelia Bryan , Karen Clegg (well, most of the intro.) highly readable.

  • Thinking - about the cover of the book. more architecture! (floods of the stuff this semester)
I also wonder if Nicholas Negroponte (MIT media lab founder) and Christopher Alexander (architect, design theorist) ever met?

  • Learning - the calibre of open source widgets and gizmos, doodads and danglers is heartening. The learning revolution won't be televised, but it will be on-screen.

Community of practice - student blog example

A student's blog revolves around 'three things'.
These things can be anything a student is either reading, thinking, or learning.

The composition of these things is completely upto the student..
If there are three items they are reading, then they blog about those.
If they are more concerned about something they are learning, or thinking; this forms the content of that post..

method to my madness

wondering how i would ever remember the login for the blogspot address i had actually bothered to write down, I inadvertantly logged in to this address which I had completely forgotten about!!!
So using the same login and password for absolutely everything isn't safe, but it's a helluva lot saner!
